Surf'camp

This one-week stay, designed for 15-17 year olds, allows you to start or progress in surfing with personalized advice from the pros.

On the program: 5 supervised sessions to take on the waves and perfect your technique with experienced instructors in Hendaye and an excursion to the Spanish city of San Sebastian .

Program

Day 1 :
Option arrival the day before: reception on Saturday between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Otherwise, reception on Sunday from 9am.
Facility.

Discovery of the sports village and the practice site. Presentation of the program of the week and constitution of the groups.

Day 2:
Meet the surf instructors. Learning or reviewing the basics and safety rules. Lessons in the morning or afternoon depending on the conditions and the schedule.

Swimming and big games on the beach the rest of the day. Animated evening (debates, vigil, etc.).

Day 3:
Continuation of half-day surf lessons with personalized advice from the instructor. Explanations of the “take off” (or how to stand up on the board). Swimming and entertainment the rest of the time. Lively evening at sunset on the beach, by the ocean (music, roasted marshmallows under the stars, “Koh Lanta” type games or debates, swimming if the conditions are good…).

Day 4:
Excursion to the Spanish city of San Sebastian. In the morning, funicular to the amusement park of Mount Igueldo and panoramic view of the bay of San Sebastian. Stroll along the sea towards the famous beach "la Concha". Tapas lunch. In the afternoon, discover the old town and relax on the beach. Animated evening (debates, vigil, etc.).

Day 5:
Morning and afternoon surf lessons. Personalized advice from instructors on the choice of boards and trajectories. For the more advanced, explanations on the direction to take in a wave according to its “open” side (“back side” and “front side”). Animated evening (debates, vigil, etc.).

Day 6:
Last supervised half-day surfing session, then swimming in the ocean. Review of the week with the surf instructor. Reception of the "Surfing Book": booklet created by the club to follow its progression and its autonomy in surfing. Last animated evening.

For the visit to San Sebastian, please provide a valid identity card and an authorization to leave the territory.
 

Please note: take a sleeping bag, a flashlight (preferably a dynamo lamp), a fitted sheet of size 190 x 90 and a pillowcase.

Paperwork

The following documents concerning the child MUST BE SENT AT LEAST 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE STAY:

- Liaison Health Form attached to the confirmation of registration duly completed, signed and in particular completed by the certificate of aquatic ease (attached to this file) completed by an authorized person.
- Photocopy of the certificate of CMU entitlement detailing the beneficiaries (if you benefit from Universal Health Coverage).
- Photocopy of the pages of the health book justifying the realization of the obligatory vaccines.

In the absence of these documents, your child will not be able to be accepted on the stay.

For any trip outside the metropolitan territory, your child must present an authorization to leave the territory signed by one of the holders of parental authority and accompanied by a copy of the front / back identity document, of the parent who signed the original authorization to leave the territory.
If the signatory parent does not have the same surname as the child, a full copy of the birth certificate with parentage or an extract from the birth certificate will be required at the border control.
